Agios Petros Tower
An ancient tower that was in use until the end of the Byzantine period. Most probably it was built during the Hellenistic period, although there are elements that resemble Mycenaean or Minoan constructions. Its base is similar to the lower part of the Treasure of Atreus in Mycenae.
In the area of the monument there was a copper mine that was in operation until the beginning of the 20th century. Apparently, the primary role of the tower was the protection of the mine.
