Martinakia beach
A small sandy strip of land near the port of Merichas. There are tamarisk trees for shade, but also a dozen of sun beds to rent. Martinakia is a mix of sand and pebbles. Even though it is so close to the island’s main port, it has clean and clear water. It is a good spot to watch ferries come and go and a nice place for swimming if you are staying in the port area. The beach is family friendly and often gets crowded due of its small size. On the hill behind, there are residences and some studios and rooms to rent. There is a tavern within walking distance, but more dining options are available in the port area. Martinakia is within walking distance from Merichas so getting there is fairly easy.
