Kypri beach
Kipri beach is perhaps less beautiful than Chryssi Ammos next door, but sharing the same gorgeous sea and providing much better amenities. The beach is located on the west coast of Andros between Batsi and Gavrio port. It is fairly large to accommodate sunbeds and still has plenty of room for your own towels and beach mats. Moreover, it is easily accessible even if you do not have a car, as you can easily get there by bus. However, if you do have a car or bike, driving to Kipri is easy and there is plenty of parking.
The beach is soft sand, with crystal-clear blue waters that shelves away nicely, and has a great choice of beach bars to choose of. The views across the bay are just great as you can see other little islands and the boats coming in and out of Gavrio. What makes this beach unique is the fact that Kipri beach is very safe as it is protected by the wind. This makes it ideal for non-experienced swimmers and families with kids who can play for hours on the sand and build castles. And if you are looking for a bit of adventure, there is water sport center to rent surfs or to take some lessons if you are a beginner. All in all, this is a great beach to visit and definitely one of those beaches that should be on your bucket list.
