Trachili beach
Trachili beach is located 21 kilometers west of Chios Town and approximately 9 kilometers from the medieval village of Avgonima. It is a pristine and isolated beach with clean and clear turquoise waters. This deserted beach is a mix of sand with pebbles and attracts mostly people looking for isolation and peace. Swimming in its crystal-clear waters is really delightful. A narrow strip of land connects it to a small islet, home to a medieval circular watchtower. If you get this far, it's worth walking up the hill to see this interesting medieval structure and take some nice photos.
Natural shade is limited, so you should bring an umbrella and have some water with you, since there aren't any facilities available. Although the road leading to Trachili Beach is unpaved, you can drive all the way to the end. Parking should not be a pain as there is plenty of space available. So, if you are on this side of the island and looking for seclusion and peace, Trachili beach is probably the best option.
