Agiasmata beach
Following the north direction, 55 km from Chora and 15 from Volissos, you will find Agiasmata. It is the name of a whole area in North Chios, which owes its name to the healing waters rising from the earth at a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius .The beach of Agiasma, as well as the surrounding landscape, presents a rare, wild beauty.The nearby small villages of Keramos, Leptopoda and Eregoros are amphitheatrically built amidst the amazing pine forest, with local stone houses. From 1948 to 1954 antimony mines were operating. With a close look at the surrounding mountains, you will see the remnants of the large galleries and the facilities of the companies that were exploiting them.
