Plakakia beach
One of the beaches closest to the port of Aegina is Plakakia, just 1.5 km away to the north. This sandy beach is located just after the beautiful lighthouse of Cape Plakakia while en route thither you can visit the museum of the great Greek sculptor Christos Kapralos, with the statue of “Mother”, his own work, welcoming you. At Plakakia you can also see the house where Nikos Kazantzakis lived.
