Avra beach
It is the beach closest to the port of Aegina as it is located a mere few meters to the left of the dock as you come off the boat. Organized, with sand and pebbles, next to numerous tavernas and tsipouradika for after your swim, it is ideal for families as it also has a playground across the street. But Avra beach has a feature that makes it really special: a feeling of a past era as it is located just in front of the archaeological site of Kolona while in the sea you can see remains of the ancient port of Aegina.
