Cape Drastis is the northernmost point of the Corfu Island, located 38 km distance from the center of Corfu Τown. There, you will see an image that looks unreal with the impressive formations of the ground and the blue waters, which amazes from the very first moment. Walk all the way to the water and enjoy the crystal-clear blue water of the Ionian Sea. The beach is a perfect place to go if you are looking for a unique natural landscape with a serene vibe, however it is not safe for kids because of the strong winds. There you can sit and relax on the rocks with the smooth and sculpted surfaces, sunbathe, take advantage of the clay on the rocks by making beauty masks or try your hand at cliff-jumping. This is an inaccessible area, unchanged in terms of human intervention. Bring food and water since there is virtually nothing around the area to purchase food.
Cape Drastis is signposted in the village of Peroulades. There is a parking area and a road going down, however you need a 4x4 due to state of road. Driving down the road you see the view of the Cape. Alternatively, you can take a boat trip or hike from Sidari to Cape Drastis. The hike is easy and produces some great views from the top. If you are visiting the north-east of Corfu, you should definitely add this place as a quick stop to admire the views and this incredible "beach".
Beware: unless you have a 4x4 (SUV), don’t drive on the dirt/ gravel road. Standard cars will struggle with the poor road conditions.
