Gardenos beach

Gardenos beach

Gardenos is a stunning sandy beach with clear waters, sunbeds and umbrellas on the island of Corfu. The sunbeds and shades cover only a small part of the beach, the rest is empty sand. The sand is just heaven and the waters are usually calm. Even if you are not a swimmer you can paddle as it is not deep and so perfect for families and kids. The beach is great for swimming and snorkeling with pockets of rocks just off shore having some lovely fish to view. You can also see Paxos clearly. The far end of the beach attracts nudists of all ages. There are showers, free car park, restaurants and a small mini market outside the parking lot to buy groceries and all the basics.

The west coast of Corfu has many miles of golden sand. This beach combines the sand with the attractive cliffs behind and is quiet and unspoiled. For many, this is one of the best beaches on the island. There are no resorts around apart for a few rental rooms, and therefore this is a beach where the vast majority of people are locals. If you want an authentic and quiet beach to relax, this is the place.
