The Feast of Theofania
The celebration of the light and the day which ends Christmas. It is the day when the priest bless the waters by throwing in a cross in the sea and the boys are jumping in to bring it. It’s a big honour for the boy who takes it. Afterwards, the priest goes from house to house holding a cross and a basil branch that he put into holy water and sprinkle to bless the home.
