The Feast of Agios Nikolaos
On August 10, there is a big feast in Agios Nikolaos, in Alykes bay, at the beach of Marmara. The chapel of Agios Nikolaos, which was destroyed by the earthquakes of '53 but was rebuilt in '92, is located on the homonymous island just across from the beach.
