From Alogoporo (Trikeri)
To reach Paleo Trikeri Island from Volos you have to follow the coastal route along the shores of Pelion until you reach Trikeri village on the mainland. The distance is 77 km and the drive takes about two hours. Your car has to be parked at Alogoporos as Paleo Trikeri is a car free island. A small boat or sea taxi will then take you to the tiny island of Paleo Trikeri. It is a 15 minutes trip and very enjoyable. A water taxi service from Amaliapolis near Volos Airport is also available. The boat ride from Amaliapolis takes about 30 minutes. Volos can be reached from Athens and Thessaloniki by car, bus or train. The city has also an international airport (Anchialos Airport) and there are several flight from/to many european cities.
