The Ellinikon Experience Park
The Ellinikon Experience Park offers numerous activities for people of all ages. It is a place of inspiration and a green oasis for the people of Athens. Built on the site of Athens’ old airport and next to the three Air Force hangars, The Experience Park is part of Europe’s greatest urban regeneration project, centered in one of the largest coastal parks in the world. The Park feautures water jets and fountain with aquatic music choreographies, equipment and exhibits for fun, education and exploration for kids, a place with peaceful water features and Mediterranean floral species for relaxation and nice walks, and an area for outdoor training with sport equipment and installations.
The Ellinkon Experience Park is easily accessible from the center of Athens and the wider Attica region. It can be reached by car, bus (stop Elliniko and Amenican Base) and metro (Ellinikon Metro Station), and offers 600 outdoor parking spaces free of charge. The Park is open daily from 10:00 - 23:00 and the Forest Playground from 10:00 – 22:00. A number of services are available to all visitors, including free Wi-Fi, security patrols, info kiosk, canteens for food and drinks, first aid, restrooms with baby changing facilities and wheelchair accessible restrooms.
