Springs of Agios Dimitrios

The springs of Agios Dimitrios are located close to the village of Achinos in Eastern Fthiotida, approximately 30 kilometers from the city of Lamia. It is a well-hidden paradise with plane trees, running waters, streams, ponds and dozens of dragonflies. The small church of Agios Dimitrios adds to this idyllic setting. A recreation area has been set up with benches and wooden tables making the spot ideal for a family picnic outdoors. Access to the springs is easy. The road starts from the village of Achinos and has a limited car park at the end. However, there is an alternative route for more adventurous drivers via a dirt track through olive groves and fields that it may be hard to find due to the lack of signage.
