Monastery of Evaggelistria
To reach the Monastery of Evaggelistria, head to Alogoporo, just outside Trikeri, where you also take a boat to the island of Palaio Trikeri (it is very frequent and only a few minutes away).
The island is small, it has some tavernas in the murago, some beautiful beaches for swimming and the monastery at the highest point.
An occasion for the construction of the Holy Monastery was the miracle of finding the image of the Virgin Mary at the root of an olive tree.
Now it is maintained by people of Trikeri and offers rooms for accommodation (at a cost).
