Stone Bridges: Bridge of Stavropotamos

The bridge of Stavropotamos, also known as the bridge of Kipouri, is located in the prefecture of Grevena. It bridges Stavropotamos, a tributary of the Venetikos river. It has four large semicircular arches of different width.

It was served as a passage for caravans travelling to Thessaloniki or Ioannina and used to be part of the road that connected Metsovo with Ioannina. It is easily accessible as it is very close and visible from the road. Nearby, is also located the Spanos bridge.
