Sidirokastro Thermal Baths
Sidirokastro Thermal Baths are located just seven kilometers away from Sidirokastro Town in Northern Greece. The baths have been operating since the Byzantine and Ottoman times and attract many visitors throughout the year. This is an amazingly powerful healing spa with a hotel and restaurant next to the baths. The facilities are well organized and clean. The hammam pool is impressive and the staff is excellent.
The mystic atmosphere of the Byzantine baths remains untouchable through centuries. The hot water coming from the heart of the earth, soothes the senses and creates a sense of relaxation, comfort and euphoria. The water of the springs is geothermal and the temperature ranges from 43, 7- 55ο C. The hot water is suitable for:

A visit to the thermal baths can be perfectly combined with a day visit to the historic fortress of Rupel, the village of Ano Poroia, the Byzantine Castle, lake Kerkini and the bridge of Strimonas. There are also plenty of hiking trails to explore that lead to beautiful waterfalls and caves. Sidirokastro is located on the European Route E79 and the main road from northern Greece to Bulgaria.
