Thermal Springs of Loutraki

At a very close distance from Athens, about 80 km, lies cosmopolitan Loutraki on the side of the Corinthian Gulf, at the foot of Gerania. His reputation has reached the end of the world thanks to the natural gifts that nature gave him generously. Both healing and table water are of unparalleled quality and have coexisted in the same place for thousands of years.
 
Today, Loutraki is a modern thermal city that successfully competes corresponding international resorts. Apart from the art of Hydrotherapy, well- organised mineral water drinking therapy centres also operate.
 
The inner space of the building of the Municipal Thermal Springs is adorned with mosaic performances created by Stefanos Xenopoulos in collaboration with his students. The mosaics were created in 1935-1936.
 
The temperature of the water is 30oC and the temperature in the spring that gushes the table natural mineral water is 19,5oC.

The characterisation of the water is Tepid Cl- Na- Mg- K- Br hypotonic, moderately radioactive curative water of the municipality of Loutraki – Perachora - Agioi Theodoroi.

The hydrotherapy is indicated for the following conditions:

  • Infections of the skin
  • Allergic skin ailments

  • Eczema

The mineral water drinking therapy is indicated for the following conditions:

  • Disorders of the circulatory system

  • Kidney stones
  • Cholelithiasis 

In Loutraki it is also located the ultra-modern and historic Loutraki Thermal Spa of  5.000 m2 who has 3 indoor pools with curative water at different temperatures (31o C, 34o C, 25o C), a big outdoor pool, 10 individual tubs, 2 places for douches with the curative water, 2 places for mud therapy, 2 places for thin rain shower and other places for special treatments.
