Palarniotis - Agios Georgios of Ryaki
The route from Plagia where the monastery of Palarniotis is located up to Ai Giorgis passes by ruins of medieval churches, dry stone-walls and ruined windmills. It finally ends up hanging over the sea, through a windy and in many parts built path, until it reaches a hidden oasis of perennial trees, the turpentine trees (Pistacia terebinthus) with the country church on the background.
