Agios Ioannis of Konda - Agios Ioannis of Alarga
This route is the last one you can do on a public road, as you then take the road to Emborios. The Alarga Monastery is really impressive. The church of the monastery is really dignified with the icon of Ai Giannis dominating with the form of archbishop Gavriil something unprecedented for the Byzantine hagiography. On 29 August is the largest festival of the island that keeps three days and involving about 1000 loyalists from each corner of the country. From the monastery, follow the path that after 60 minutes leads you to the scenic deserted beach of Pyrgos.
