Chora - Mandraki - Stavros Church - Chora
The smallest of the four routes travels around the Chora to Mandraki bay, where during the rebellion the Hydraikos warship flew.
In order to secure the bay from uninvited visits to either side of the entrance of the bay, two small fortresses were built, of which half-faced sections were preserved.
The route to Mandraki follows east along the coastal road to Mandraki and after passing the School of Merchants, the Hydra Historical Record and the statue of Miaoulis, then leaving the coastal road, rises from a stone staircase south on the hills and reaches the small church of Stavros from which a well-written path descends to the settlement of Chora offering a wonderful view of the settlement and the harbor.
In the detailed description the route goes to Mandraki Castle and then returns to continue to Chora. This section may not be done. A little beautiful route worth doing in one afternoon. Marking is very good.
Ground condition: Path 4.5 km, dirt road 570 m, cement road 1.8 km.
