Kasos Island Airport (KSJ): Essential Traveler Information
26° 55’ 00” E 35° 25’ 17” N
Kasos Island Airport (KSJ) has been serving travelers since 1983 and is the main point of entry for this serene Dodecanese Island. The airport features a single passenger terminal that handles domestic flights only, making it a small and low-traffic airport with limited amenities.
Located just 1 km west of Fry, the island’s capital, along the coastal road toward Agios Konstantinos, the airport is easily accessible. Transfers are available exclusively by taxi or private car, as there is no public bus service.
In 2021, the airport was officially renamed “Municipal Airport of the Heroic Island of Kasos – Markos Malliarakis” following a decision by the local municipal council, approved by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA). Despite its modest size, the airport remains a crucial gateway for visitors exploring the island’s traditional villages, pristine beaches, and authentic Greek island culture.
