Palaio Trikeri
Paleo Trikeri is a tiny island in the Pagasetic Gulf off the end of the Pelion peninsula, in Thessaly. On Paleo Trikeri, there are no roads or vehicles.
In antiquity, the island was called Cicynethus. Starting in 1946, the island was used as a concentration camp for female pro-Communist political prisoners during the Greek Civil War.

Paleo Trikeri is a car free island, so the only way to explore it, is on foot. As it has an area of only 2.5 square kilometers, walking around the island is very easy. Following the coastal paths, it is possible to walk around the island in half a day.
