Vivlos or Agios Georgios Tower
Remains of a tower on a rock 500m SW of the village Tripodes (or Vivlos), next to a chapel dedicated to Saint George.
It is believed that this is the small tower mentioned in documents of 1638 and 1646 as the tower built in Tripodes area by a certain Venetian named Giacomo da Corogna.
The small size of the tower and its positioning lead to the hypothesis that this was primarily a defensive tower and not a mansion. Its role must have been the defense of the fertile region south of Tripodes called “Kechrees” and, perhaps, the protection of a much larger tower-house around 100m to the east.
