Giannoulis or Mastrogiannoulis Tower
A tower-house dominating over the village Ammolochos in the northern side of Andros island. It was built in the 17th or 18th century. In the beginning of 19th century, the owner was Giannoulis Dimitriou, head of the Arvanites of Andros.
The tower is in a relatively good condition. There are various distinct defensive elements in the construction of the tower, especially the machicolation over the main entrance. Around the tower there are some auxiliary buildings such as stables, warehouse and a pigeon house.
