Lambros or Stavros Castle
Mikro Chorio is a deserted but picturesque village in Tilos. Above the settlement, on a rocky hill, there lies the castle of Lambros.
It is not known who "Lambros" was. Perhaps a local landowner. The castle is also named of Stavros (the "cross") from a little church of the Holy Cross which is 300m from the castle.
There is no information about the history of the castle. Most probably, it was built in the 14th or the 15th century by the knights of St. John, like the other castles on the island.
Parts of the 2.5m high walls are still visible. There were 15 buildings inside the castle from which only ruins remain.
