Brooke square of Skyros
While strolling in the picturesque alleys of the town you can go up to the Archaeological Museum where you will find the Brooke square. A copper statue of a naked young man was built there by the sculptor Tompros in the honor of the poet. It is said that Alexandros Iolas served as a model for the sculptor. In the ceremony on the 5th April 1931 when the statue was unveiled, the prime minister of Greece, Eleftherios Venizelos, was present. On this location, the view of Molos and Magazia is also breathtaking.
