Maltezi beach
Maltezi is a lovely beach, located northwest of Katapola. It is one of the most beautiful beaches near Katapola and of Amorgos overall. Due to the fact that it is located inside a protected bay, the sea is usually calm, making it a great option for windy days which is very usual in the Cyclades. It is an unspoilt bay with fine sand and crystal-clear, turquoise waters. At one end of the small bay, there are sunbeds with thatched umbrellas stands and a beach bar serving coffees and snacks.
There are two ways to get to the beach. Either by small boats from the port of Katapola or you can walk along a path, mainly along the coast. The walk from Katapola is about 20 -25 mins, across a number of other beaches. The path is a little steep in places but worth.
