Sparti beach

Sparti Beach is one of the most dramatic and lesser-known beaches in Amorgos, set deep inside a spectacular natural inlet carved by towering cliffs that rise to nearly 500 meters in height. The narrow chasm creates a striking landscape and a sense of isolation rarely found elsewhere on the island.

The sea here is a vivid turquoise and noticeably cold, as sunlight reaches the inlet for only a few hours each day before disappearing behind the sheer rock walls. This limited exposure gives the water its refreshing temperature and enhances the beach’s wild, untouched character.

The shoreline alternates between sand and small pebbles, and access is possible only by boat. During the summer months, boat tours around Amorgos include Sparti Beach as a stop, making it a perfect destination for travelers seeking hidden beaches, dramatic scenery, and crystal-clear waters.
