Gala beach
The Gala beach is a geological phenomenon, with the sea passing under an impressive rock, coming out from the other side, where there is a small hidden beach, thus creating a small natural "pool" with white shingle! The beach got its name from its white waters! It is white because of the dust that falls from the walls of the rocks that surround it but also from the foam that the waves create when they enter the inside of the cave.
The Gala peninsula is formed at the northeastern tip of the island between the bays of Xylompatis and Pori. On the left of the beach Pori to the east, there is a 550m trail that leads to Gala beach. You can access the beach on foot and when the weather is not bad you can swim under the rock into the open sea. The old name of the beach is "Tripiti", due to the huge hole in the ground. If you do not like walking, you can reach the beach by boat.
