Skylos beach
The beach of Skylos is located on the south east coast of Kythnos island. It is a very peaceful and isolated beach due to difficult access. The lovely beach is about 250 meters long and very wide. It has transparent blue waters and the coast is covered with sand mixed with pebbles. There are no trees to offer natural shade neither any facilities on the beach or the wider area, so it is advisable to have water and food with you as well as an umbrella to protect yourself from the hot summer sun. At the back stands the white washed chapel of Agios Nikolaos (St. Nicholas) with the blue shutters.
To reach the beach, you have to take the road from Merichas to Agios Dimitrios. After passing the intersection that leads to Panagia Kanala, you will find the church of Panagia Stratolatissa. Turn left and follow the dirt track till the end. Park the car and take the downhill path that lead to this gorgeous beach.
