Lefkes beach
A lovely quiet beach with an authentic Greek tavern serving delicious fresh homemade food, and some rocky formations on both sides. There are plenty of trees for shade and a little quaint chapel dedicated to Agios Nikolaos, at the left edge. The beach itself is a mix of sand and pebbles with crystal-clear water. Lefkes is one of the most serene beaches on the island and a wonderful place for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing under the Greek sun. The beach is located on the eastern side of the island, right next to the small settlement with the same name. Chora is about 9 km away and Dryopida around 6 km. Eating options are very limited, on the other hand there is a good choice of rooms to rent. If you are looking for a place to spend a relaxing day, this is definitely the right place to visit.
