Plathiena beach
Plathenia is an absolutely stunning beach with fine sand, gorgeous crystal-clear blue water and a few trees for shade. The water is shallow, suitable for young kids and has fantastic places to snorkel. There are a few loungers and a lovely shady café behind, serving the basics and overlooking the beach.
Plathenia is situated in a cove, sheltered by the surrounding cliffs, just north of Plaka at the entrance to Milos Bay. Access by car is very easy through a narrow road. The walk to the beach from Plaka is 1.5 miles and is somewhat barren and picturesque at the same time, with a token pop-up church, along the way. Plathenia is a beautiful spot to watch breathtaking sunsets and is highly recommended as one of the best beaches in all of Milos.
