Kastraki beach
Kastraki is one of the largest and most beautiful beaches in Naxos. It is located about 16 km from Naxos town, next to the beach of Glyfada. It is well known for its unspoiled natural environment, the beautiful lacy shores, the sand dunes and the rare shadowy cedars that give an exotic feeling. The large beach with the fine, white sand and the crystal-clear, turquoise waters is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the sea and the sun. The beach has safe waters making it ideal for families with young kids.
Kastraki offers one of the most amazing sunsets of the island. It is worth staying till late in the afternoon to watch the sun setting behind the mountains of Paros. Due to its large size (more than 3 kilometers long) is ideal for walking by the sea. It is very easy to reach the beach by road. At a short distance there are several taverns serving local dishes, made of pure ingredients of the Naxian land.
