Agiassos beach
Agiassos is a huge beach with golden sand and much less crowded than other beaches on the island. The water is incredibly shallow with soft sand underneath and access to the sea is easy. The shallow water allows families with children a perfect relaxing stay on the beach, free of worries. The beach is unspoiled by lounge chairs and umbrellas, so we advise you to bring your own equipment. However, there is a tavern that serves excellent meals. You can enjoy fresh fish or have a cool drink while admiring the splendid view. Pretty hills surround the beach together with some rooms to rent. Agiassos beach is perfect if you are looking for relaxation in a nice place. The beach is located in the southwestern part of the island of Naxos and is about 21 km from Hora. The road to Agiassos is not the best surface though, so do be sure to take it nice and slow. Bus service is poor, so it is advised those who want to visit the beach to rent a car or a quad.
