Panormos beach

Panermos or Panormos is a golden sandy beach found at the southeast part of the island, 54 km from Naxos Town. It is most likely the quietest beach of Naxos, nestled in a small bay with beautiful palm trees on the coast. The bay is lovely and sheltered with calm, warm, crystal clear and shallow waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Ιf popular, crowded and noisy beaches are not of your type, Panormos is the perfect beach to visit and certainly one of the most beautiful on the island.

The beach is not organized, but under the trees you can find some natural shade as well as some stone tables where you can sit and enjoy your drink or food overlooking the opposite islands of Koufonisia, Iraklia and Amorgos. To reach the beach you have first to drive to Apeiranthos village, then to Moutsouna and after that you will be on the road to Panormos beach which lies 15 kilometres to the south of Moutsouna. At the end of the road there is a parking lot. There is also a canteen on the beach which provides all the necessary. Next to Panormos beach there are the remnants of the prehistoric acropolis of Panermos.
