Grotta beach
Behind the Islet of Palaces it is located the beach,with a long history back in the ancient times of Naxos. For ages it was considered to be the centre of the Mycenaean city and some of its ruins can still be found at the bottom of the sea.Its name comes from the italian word “grotta” which means “cave”. This cove has an astonishing view to Portara on the left.
