Marcello beach
Out of all the beaches in Paros, this is one of the best. A great swimming place with clear and blue water. Also, a good place for families given that the water is not so deep, so you can have your kids play without much worrying. Lovely soft fine sand – perfect for playing beach rackets at the water’s edge – some decent sunbeds options as well as space to lay your own towel, good snorkeling only a few meters from the shore and a short way to a couple of eating places, whilst enjoying more of the beautiful views of the bay – over to Parikia and out to sea. A beach bar is also available which offers food and drinks right to your sunbed. There is not a lot of shade here so it may be worthwhile bringing an umbrella or hiring one.
Like all beaches on Paros, you have to check the weather forecasts to see where on the visit day, wind is blowing from. You will be lucky if the wind is from the north, but if it is from the south or south west it will blow straight on the beach. There is boat service from Parikia which makes the beach very accessible. Other options to get there, is by car or on foot in approximately 35 minutes. Overall, Martselo is a lovely beach for relaxing, swimming and sun bathing. A must if you visit Paros.
