Galissas beach
It is one of the largest beaches of Syros and is located in a protected bay on the west coast of the island, about 7 km southwest of Ermoupolis, right in front of the homonymous village. It is considered one of the most beautiful and well-organized beaches on the island. It stretches the entire cove with its golden sand, the crystal-clear blue waters and the tamarisk trees that offer natural shade. It is partially organized with sunbeds and umbrellas but there is a part which is still unspoilt. The beach with the calm and shallow waters, is safe for small children.
On its left side, there is a small harbor with a stone pier and some palm trees. The beach offers the visitor everything he needs to comfortably enjoy his stay there. It is worth mentioning that it is friendly to people with disabilities. In the beach you can find a few restaurants, cafes and bars open during the summer months.
