Kalivia beach
Kalivia beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the southern coast of Tinos. Located in a protected by the winds cove, the long sandy beach with the small pebbles, has crystal-clear waters and is lined with trees that offer natural shade. Although it is protected by the winds, the sand can be really annoying, days with very strong winds. The peaceful beach is very popular and it usually gets very crowded during high season. At one edge, there is a beach bar that offers drinks and snacks as well as sun beds and parasols to rent, but there is also a free part to lay your towel or put your umbrella. Apart from the beach bar there are no other amenities on the beach or in the wider area. Getting into the sea may be a bit tricky as there are stones in the first meters, so wearing sea shoes will be a good idea. The beach is located before Isternia on the way to Giannakis bay and can be easily reached by road, at the end of which there is a free parking lot.
