Schinondas beach
The picturesque and tranquil bay just a short distance from Maltezana, offers you a sandy, organized beach that caters to those who want easy access, shallow water and restaurants right on the beach. From Maltezana's harbor, you can only go east, pass the little hill you meet and immediately be in front of the ship of Schinonta, famous from the advertising of Aegean Airlines. Also do not miss the opportunity to walk to the left edge of the beach and climb to the small peninsula that has a unique view of Chora and the islands of Chondro and Glyno. There, you will stand in front of the French Officers Monument and you will read with interest the legendary story page written on this cove on November 5, 1827 when Captain Bisson was faced with 140 pirates.
