Agrilidi beach
Agrilidi is a completely isolated beach on the island of Astypalaia. Nestled in a sheltered bay, it is a safe anchorage for sailboats and caiques. On the left side of the bay is the picturesque church of Agios Nikolaos (St. Nicolas), and at the back of the beach the ruins of an industrial building with a large chimney. Agrilidi is a pebbly beach with crystal clear and deep waters, ideal for those who want to escape from the crowded and cosmopolitan beaches. Apart from a few tamarisk trees that provide natural shade, there are no other facilities on or near the beach. Getting to Agrilidi beach is not that easy. You can reach it by sea or via a rough dirt road. We would advise against driving a conventional car unless you have a four-wheel drive vehicle. If you are looking for secluded beaches while on Astypalaia, Agrilidi Beach is definitely a great choice.
