Palionisos beach
Palionisos beach is located in a lovely bay, on the east side of the island, near Vathi. It is a small, beautiful and quiet beach. The coast is covered with pebbles and the water is crystal-clear and deep blue. Palionisos is an organized beach with parasols and sun loungers,, but there are also a few tamarisk trees for natural shade, lined along the beach. It can be reached easily through the road of Saklia to Palionisos or by boat from Rina in the Valley of Vathy. There is a tavern on each side of the beach. Both tavernas serve traditional Greek food and offer excellent views of the bay.
