Diakoftis beach is simply stunning. It is located 19 km south of Pigadia, in the area of ​​Afiartis not far from the airport of Karpathos. The white golden sand gives the water a turquoise color similar to that of exotic tropical destinations. The crystal-color, shallow waters make it ideal for families with small children. It is a very popular beach as it is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Karpathos.

You can reach the beach via a dirt road, about 2 km long. Although it is not very easy to reach the beach, its unique beauty combined with the colors of water will reward you. The beach is organized with a canteen from where you can get some food and refreshments. There is no natural shade but there are umbrellas and sunbeds to hire. Make sure you take a short walk to the 'second' beach that is at the other side of the bay, which is also beautiful, but the water is classic blue. In short distance you can find the beautiful and quiet beaches Pounta, Michali, Kipos, Psorari, Araki and Argylopotamos.
