Kolona beach
Kolona is a beautiful sandy beach on the island of Andros, with spectacular views over the entire Batsi Bay. This beach is just a short stroll from the village of Batsi and easily accessible even on foot (15 minutes). It has clear and clean waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. On its left side, there are some imposing flat rocks to lay on and sunbathe. A nice wooden beach bar plays music and serves soft drinks, cocktails, coffees and snacks throughout the day. Although Kolona beach is small in size and well-organized with sunbeds and umbrellas, there is free space to lay your own towel. There are no trees for shade, but thanks to its orientation you will find plenty of shade if you visit it late in the afternoon. Overall, this is a nice and quiet place to visit if you want to spend a relaxing day on the beach and have all the basic amenities. Kolona beach is located just a short walk from vibrant Batsi, right on the turn of the main road. You can get there by bus or car and there is ample parking just on the road above the beach. Although Kolona is one of the lesser-known beaches on Andros, it is a must visit place if you are planning to explore the gorgeous Cycladic island.
