Agios Georgios beach
Kastelorizo does not have any organized beaches or any beaches with sand, but there are many beautiful coves and bays to explore. Most beaches can only be reached by boat such as the beach on Agios Georgios Island. Agios Georgios is accessed by one of the many boat hire companies that operate from Kastelorizo. The trip is only 5’-10’ minutes and the driver will take you and come back for you at the desired pick-up time. On the small island, there is a lovely little church and a café with tables, chairs and super views. The café serves food and drinks and is a great place to dine and a great spot to chill away from the island if you need a break from a break.
Agios Georgios Island has a platform with many deck chairs and loungers to sunbathe for a small fee. The platform is built around a beautiful and crystal-clear cove and is a great place to spend the day. There are two ladders for easy in and out and sea is really amazing to swim in. You can swim across the bay and get a desert island feel. The swimming areas are fantastic and safe for young children too and snorkeling is very interesting around the rocks with lots of small shrimps and fish to see.
