Kohilari beach
The Kohilari beach is situated on the north coast of Kefalos. It is a long sandy beach, extremely popular for advanced kite surfers. Due to its north orientation, it is vulnerable to strong winds that make it ideal for surfers to perform one hard trick after the other. In Kohilari, there is also a school teaching the secrets of kite surfing to beginners. The western part of the beach is cut off from the kiters and is solely dedicated to bathing. Kohilari is also family friendly with emerald and shallow waters. Parasols and sun loungers are available as well showers.
The beach can be easily reached by car. At the end of the road, there is a free parking lot. If you are lucky and get there in a non-windy day, you will definitely be rewarded since Kohilari is one of the most beautiful beaches of Kos.
