Dyo Liskaria beach

Dyo Liskaria beach in Leros is a wonderful shingle beach with lovely clear water, and beautiful view too across the bay to the castle. It is a nice place for the kids to swim and snorkel in, as well as for the adults to swim, relax and enjoy a nice meal or drink. The beach is quiet, and there are sun beds and umbrellas, but also some free space where one can find shade under the tamarisk trees which are lined along the coast. There is a taverna on the beach and also a café bar with all the basics. Nestled in a protected cove, this beach has shallow areas for the kids, and deep waters for power swimming. Note, that in some parts of the beach there are some slippery underwater flat rocks that make entry into the water difficult.

Dyo Liskaria beach gets busy in high season, so we would recommend arriving by about 10am, as most of the loungers are taken not long after 11am. The beach is not too far to walk from Alinda. It is a very pleasant walk with plenty of places to stop, rest in the shade and appreciate the views. The road does not have much traffic, and walking to Dyo Liskaria beach is well worth the effort. All in all, Dyo Liskarria beach is a superb place to spend the day with various options to eat lunch and dinner.
