Merikia beach
Merikia beach is located in the Bay of Lakki in the southern part of Leros Island. It is a peaceful and nice beach with pebbles and a few tamarisk trees for shade. Further west, there many more small coves with crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. On the beach there is a beach bar and a tavern. The beach does not get very busy and attracts mainly families with children. Nearby, is the War Museum, one of the most interesting sights of Leros. Lakki is 2,3 km away. This is a 32 minutes’ walk along the coast. It is a very nice route with a beautiful view of the natural bay.
