Kampos beach
If you want an organized beach, with sunbeds, cafes, tavernas and a bus to take you door to door and back again then this is a great beach. The sea is lovely, shallow and safe for kids, and non-experienced swimmers. Water is cool, clear and very refreshing. Kampos beach is a nice place to relax for a few hours, great for swimming and sunbathing and has all sports action you need. There are many tamarisk trees for shade on this sandy/shingle beach and plenty of space if you just want to lay your own towel. There is also lots of little fish, making it good for snorkeling. The bus goes directly here from Scala in less than 15 minutes. If staying in Skala, the bus leaves near to the port. The beach lies in a nice bay in the northeastern part of the island at a distance of 4.5 km from Skala. A visit to Kampos beach is a must if you visit Patmos!
